Symbolic image of hidden roses emerging from winter cold, representing suffering, resistance and the hope of freedom

The Army of the faceless souls

Details
Written by: Pierre Matile
  • English

Army of the faceless souls

I have seen their lifeless, emotionless faces,
I have dreamt of their suffering,
Army of the unarmed,
Sinners of the unknown.

One day they will stand up and walk,
One day they will resist and win,
One day they will unveil their faces and
Reveal their human beauty.

Just a bunch of roses,
Hidden from the cold,
Shivering in the winter wind,
Waiting for the warmth to bloom.
